I am a woman, hear me ROAR! LOL Like all women, I wear many hats and take on many roles. I’m a mom, mama and sometimes Mother depending on the situation and mood of my children. I’m a sister, daughter and Gam Gam too!
I am a maid, professional chef, loan officer, boo boo kisser, student, teacher, mentor, coach, speaker, encourager, counselor, biggest fan, truth teller (even when others don’t want to hear it) and “keep me from going insane” friend to talk to!
I’ve been a wife and a lover; both elated and broken hearted.
Some say I talk too much and that I’m “brassy”. But I’m okay with that! I like me, usually. I tell myself I’m beautiful, but I don’t always believe it! I know I’m smart but sometimes wish I hadn’t made some dumb decisions. I’ve learned that a hot bath makes me feel much better when daily drama happens. When struggles are mountain size, I tend to sign up for some great course/class.
I’ve been called “tough” but I do fall to pieces. A few people have said I should be a comedian; I love humor when teaching (or maybe it is sarcasm, I’m not really sure lol). A dear friend once told me I laugh to cover other emotions. He was right.
Through life, I have taken on a few theme songs with key verses:
“I’ve been down hearted baby!”
“Been down one time, been down two times, Mmmm never going back again!”
“I’m alive and well, your spirit lives within me!”
I can be proper and well spoken or I can be laid back and country! I use to tell my students, if I start doing the chicken neck and saying “Ya’ll” and “ain’t” then you know it’s on! LOL
